Donald Hubbard La France Donald Perry Hubbard, age 68, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on January 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Silas R. Hubbard and the late Effie Burns Hubbard and the step-son of Emma Hubbard. He retired from LaFrance Industries after 44 years of service. He enjoyed work so much that he returned after retirement as a part-time employee. He was known by his coworkers as "Hosea". Donald was a member of LaFrance Church of God. He is survived by his brother, Cecil L. Hubbard; a sister, Pat H. Boggs and her husband Earl; nieces, Veronica Hubbard, Sharon Boggs (John Kuhnle III); nephews, Cecil Hubbard, Jr. (Tammy), Chris Drawdy, Kevin Steeley, and Marcus Hubbard (Amanda); and several half brothers and sisters. The Funeral Service will be held at the LaFrance Church of God on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Roger Allison officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
