Donald Eugene Looney, age 72, of Easley, SC, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, Baptist Easley Hospital. Born March 17, 1950, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Edward Lee Brock and Maxie Pearlene Smith Looney Brock. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Diane Bruno. Don retired from Michelin with over 25 years of faithful service to the company. He never met a stranger and remembered everyone's name. His grandchildren were his world. He was very active in their lives, chasing them around with all their activities. He is survived by his sons, Eddie Looney (Kristen) of Anderson, Ian Looney of Anderson, and Joey Roper (Kim) of Pickens; daughter, Renn Thomas (Ned) of Anderson; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. No public services are planned.
