Seay, age 77, widower of his loving wife, Barbara L. Seay, formerly of Cherokee Street, went home to our Lord on Monday, December 7, 2009. For the past year, he was a resident at Willow Creek Living Center, where he made himself right at home. Born in Spartanburg, SC to the late Joney and Ethel Seay, he was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Duke Power and was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church. He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly; son, Mike Seay and his wife, Pam of Anderson; daughter, Vickie Osborne and her husband, Mark of Starr; grandchildren, Candace Dill (Kyle), Michael 'Mo' Seay, Laura Bryant (Scottie), Chris Skelton, Erica and Whitney Osborne; great-grandchildren, Andrew Dill, Allison, Joseph and Stephanie Bryant, Bailey and Hannah Skelton, Sydney Speer, Alexis Manley and Chandler Fleming all from Anderson. Two sisters, Dolores Brewington (Lee) and Martha Ann Stevens, all of Cross Anchor, SC and of course, his faithful family of caregivers at Willow Creek also survive.In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by an infant brother.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Dr. Kirt Mitchell and Reverend Furman Martin. The staff of Willow Creek Living Center will serve as Honorary Escort. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
