Williams and Mamie Lee Williams. He retired from the United States Navy serving two terms in Iraq during Desert Storm. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was a friend of Bill W.Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Phillip Michael Williams of Japan, Donald Christopher Williams of Gatlinburg, TN; daughters, Lesley Velnoweth of Simpsonville, SC, Sonya Capps of Isle of Palms, SC and Carrie Derrig of Anderson, SC; brothers, Bill and Earl Hughes of Florida; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held with full Military Honors on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at M. J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Carroll Plemmons.
