He was formerly employed with Glen Raven Mills and was also self-employed for several years. He was an active blood donor at AnMed Health Medical Center and was a member of Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church. Donnie enjoyed watching movies and reading John Grisham books.Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Marie Gaines and Tabitha Rae McCauley (Adam) all of Pelzer; sisters, Martha Sheridan (Joe), Betty Knight, Jeanette Williams and Cindy Powers, all of Anderson; four grandsons and one granddaughter.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Tommy, Roy, Bobby and James Gaines.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverends Bobby Smith and Ken Brown officiating. Interment will follow in New Silver Brook Cemetery.The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
