Donnie Ray Poole, 56, of Anderson, SC passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at AnMed Health Care Center. Mr. Poole, known by family and friends as Bud, has joined his loving mother, Brenda Browning Poole in her Heavenly home. Born February 24, 1963 in Anderson, Bud is survived by his father, Donnie Poole, Sr., his sister, Linda Poole (Frank), and best fur-buddy, Jackson. Bud attended McDuffie High School and in 1993 married the love of his life, Misty Lewis Poole. They have spent every day together for the last 25 years. He was also the proud dad to Morgan Rae Poole Jones and Mason Poole. Morgan and her husband, Brandon, recently blessed Bud with his first grandson, Walker Rhett. Bud has always worked with cars and, with his family by his side, owned and operated Poole's Used Cars. Even though, Bud was large in stature, his honesty, humble ways and loving heart by far exceeded his physical size. He was a true friend to all. Bud will be brought home, 601 Jackson Street, Anderson, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 23, 2019 at the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Julius McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Anderson County PAWS, 1320 Hwy 29, Anderson, SC 29626.
