Donnie Ray Poole, Sr., 78, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home. Born July 5, 1942 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Roscoe "Fox" Poole and Florence "Snooks" Farr Poole Whitten. He was married to the late Brenda Browning Poole. Donnie was a self-employed business man owning Poole's Construction, Brenda's Grocery and Poole's Used Cars throughout his career. In his spare time he loved fishing and boating and he attended Centerville Church of God. Most of all, Donnie will be remembered as a loving and devoted family man. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Poole (Frank); daughter-in-law, Misty Lewis Poole; grandchildren, Morgan Rae Poole Jones (Brandon) and Mason Poole; and great-grandson, Walker Rhett Jones. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Ray "Bud" Poole, Jr.; sisters Sharon Poole Burdette and Brenda Dyar; and brothers, Steve and Ken Poole. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Russell Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
