Donnis Olene Helton, 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 at her home. Born November 11, 1930 in Grady County, GA, she was a daughter of the late George Henry Helton and Ora Bryant Helton. Donnis spent her career in the communications industry and was retired from AT&T. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomasville, GA. Donnis was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her nephews, Gary Poole (Tammy) of Anderson, SC and Christopher Poole of Nashville, TN; and niece, McKinsey Threlkeld (Billy) of Anderson, SC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Carl Edward Helton; and sister, Polly Mavis Poole. The family will schedule services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the residence.
