CARTER November 4, 1936 - July 1, 2008ANDERSON, SCMiss Doris Marie Barnes Carter, age 71, of 408 Gibson Road, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at her residence.Born in Catawba County, NC on November 4, 1936, Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late Sam Romines and Ellen Queen Romines. She was retired from La France Mill as a weaver.Survivors include her sons, James C. Barnes and wife, Connie of Anderson, Danny R. Barnes of McCormick, Michael W. Barnes and Tim Barnes and wife, Dianna of Anderson; daughter, Rosanna Barnes Medlin of Greenwood; sister, Ollie Underdown of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, James C. Barnes and Don Rowland.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Gene Burdette.
