Doris LouAllie "Dot" Patterson Smith, 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Rainey Hospice House. Born November 13, 1926 in Iva, SC, she was a daughter of the late Tennent H. Patterson and Annie M. Wooten Patterson. She was married to the late Leroy L. Smith. Doris was a graduate of Girls High and worked for Southern Bell. She was a charter member of Pope Drive Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Jerry L. Smith (Colleen) of Anderson, SC and Patricia A. Davis (Jim) of Wauchula, FL; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Jimmie P. King of Belton, SC. Also surviving are seven nieces and six nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Oliver T. Patterson and Leizonia Patterson; and sisters, Helen E. Gibbs and Grethel P. Middleton. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00 am in the Mausoleum Chapel Remembrance II of Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Matthew Danuser officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pope Drive Baptist Church, 2510 Pope Dr., Anderson, SC 29625.
