ANDERSON, SC'Mrs. Doris King Fry, age 80, of 4424 Highway 24, Anderson, SC died Friday, October 7, 2005 at Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson, SC.Born in Westminster, SC on March 10, 1924, Mrs. Fry was a daughter of the late Albert King and the late Pauline Ballenger. She retired as a secretary for the Federal Government. She was of the Protestant faith.Mrs. Fry is survived by a daughter, Patricia Howard of Surprise, Arizona; three stepdaughters, Charlene Madden, Darlene Beaty, and Marlene Bowen; a sister, Annie Mae Williams of Anderson, SC; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry M. Fry and her longtime companion and special friend, Charles Patterson.The family is at the home of her stepdaughter, Darlene Beaty, 210 East Roosevelt Drive, Anderson, SC.
