Varone Herring, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on December 17, 1920, Mrs. Herring was the daughter of the late Edgar R. Warren and Myrtle Ivester Warren. She retired from Wamsutta Mill as secretary to the Plant Industrial Engineer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson.Survivors include her son, Tony Herring and his wife, Connie of Abbeville; daughter, Janice K. Herring of Bainbridge, GA; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by the Reverend Dr. James R. Thomason. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm.The family suggests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Anderson, 307 S.
