Doris Mary Craft Howard, 88, of Anderson, SC went to her eternal heavenly home peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born May 18, 1929, in Anderson County, SC, Doris was a daughter of the late Amos and Pauline Craft of Anderson. She retired from Scott Manufacturing many years ago but enjoyed her needlework, crafts, traveling and her church. She was a devoted member of Pope Drive Baptist Church for most of her lifetime. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles Frank Howard; son, Terry (Pam Burgess) Howard of Anderson, SC; beloved grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Goller of Liberty, SC, Kevin (Sonia Morgan) Howard of Liberty, SC, and Adam Fennell of Anderson, SC; brother, Walter (Sally) Craft of Anderson, SC; son-in-law, Allen Fennell of Anderson; and great grandchildren, Gage, Seth, Tyler and Hunter. She was also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Karen Shaw who has been a special person in Mrs. Howard's life and was her personal caretaker for several years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Darlene Fennell; brothers, Charles and Rudolph Craft and grandson, Ethan Allen Fennell. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 31, 2017 in the Chapel at The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Danuser, Rev. Mack Tester and Rev. Ken Wright officiating. Burial will follow in M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm- 1:30 pm Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home.
