She earned a registered nursing degree from the Saint Mary's Hospital in Wisconsin and also earned a master's degree in nursing at Cornell University. She worked as a registered nurse at Anderson Memorial Hospital for many years. She enjoyed sailing, playing bridge and bowling and was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Blackwell of Concord, NC, Lizbeth Jhan Wolfson of Denver, CO and Amy A. Clary of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Madeline and Zachary Wolfson and Cole and Jackson Clary. She is also survived by a brother, Jimmy Nowak of Berlin, WI.She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Saint Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Paul Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
