Doris A. Murphy, 90, of Starr, SC passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at her home. Born March 3, 1928 in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Eva Ricketts Adams. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She retired from textiles and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church, where she faithfully worked in the nursery. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Herbert Murphy; daughter, Jan Dowling and her husband, Curt; son, Bill Murphy and sister, Grace Sutherland. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-1:30pm Saturday, December 8, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00pm with Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating. A private burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
