Doris Freeman Prescott, 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. Born April 5, 1935 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde C. Freeman and the late Catherine Evans Freeman. During her working life, Doris worked for The Pickens Sentinel Newspaper and Owens Corning Fiberglas. She enjoyed golf, but her greatest joy was being with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Kerry Prescott Brooks and her husband, Keith of Greenville, SC, Jack C. "Jay" Prescott, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Hilton Head Island, SC and Tracey Prescott Weeks and her husband David C. Weeks of Greenwood, SC; grandsons, Tyler Prescott Brooks, Justin Keith Brooks, David Christopher Weeks and Elic Chrisman Weeks; and a great grandson, Logan Prescott Brooks. She was the loving wife of 54 years to Jack C. Prescott until his death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Saunders. A private family service will be held at a later date.
