Dorothy Rhodes Boiter, 91, loving wife to the late Paul A. Boiter, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Anderson County, SC, on September 7, 1926, Dororthy was the daughter of the late Harrison David Rhodes and the late Mary Ragsdale Rhodes. She was the former president of the Women's Auxiliary at Anderson Memorial Hospital and loved gardening as well as her cats. However, most importantly she loved her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Powell (Ifor) of Salem, SC; sister, Betty Graham, of Camden, SC; daughter-in-law, Angie Boiter; three grandchildren, John Jacob Boiter, Joanne Boiter Bosquet, and Amanda Boiter Bockis (John) of Aurora, CO; and two great-grandchildren, Kourtney and Meghan Bosquet. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, John Paul Boiter. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Dr. James R. Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery.
