Vernon Bolt, Sr., of Anderson, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC on April 2, 1934, Mrs. Bolt was a daughter of the late Albert Sidney Johnson and Geneva Kay Johnson. She retired from J. P. Stevens Company, Carpet Division and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.In addition to her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by a son, Willie Vernon Bolt, Jr., five brothers and four sisters. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, W. Vernon Bolt, Sr., of the home; son, Michael Bolt; daughters, Debbie Martin-Nuessle, Vicki Redmond and Becky Browning; seven grandchildren, Mandy Vasquez, Edward Martin, Robert Glackin, Christine Hallford, Shaun Bolt, Chase Browning and Anthony Foresi; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Dennis Johnson; sister, Velma Ferr; and a sister-in-law, Betty Boggs.The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm at New Prospect Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm officiated by Dr. Tony Smith and Reverend Tom Turner. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Vicki Redmond.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G.
