Dorothy Bell Fant Buice, of 1203 Northampton Road died Friday May 4 at Rainey Hospice House. Born on February 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Bell Fant and Charles William Fant. She was also predeceased by her husband of 27 years, John Benjamin Buice. She was also the sister of the late Charles William Fant Jr. and her twin brother, the late Albert Reese Fant. Dorothy was a graduate of Winthrop College and was an active member of Saint John's United Methodist Church. She was a teacher at Concord Elementary School for many years, where she had been selected teacher of the year. She served on many civic organizations including Meals on Wheels, AIM and was a longstanding board member of the Anderson County Library. She is survived by her son, John Benjamin Buice Jr. and his wife Cindy; daughter, Susan Buice Whittle and her husband John; and son, William Sims Buice and his wife, Maria. She had 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Saint John's United Methodist Church on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Kitty Holtzclaw officiating. The family visitation will follow the service at the church. Memorials may be made either to Saint John's United Methodist Church, 515 S.
