Dorothy "Dot" Nimmons Connor, 92, widow of MSGT George C. Connor, passed away peacefully December 21, 2017, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC. She was born in 1925 to the late Furman T. and Mary H. Nimmons. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Dot worked in textiles most of her life and retired from Springs Industries Wamsutta Mills. Dot is survived by her five children, Steve (Rosie) Nimmons, of Columbia, SC, Sunny (Tommy) Powell, Beth Engel, and David Boltin (Cheryl), all of Anderson, SC, and Linda (Greg) Brown, of Aiken, SC; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dot is predeceased by three brothers, two grandchildren, and a son-in-law. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers our mother has had over the years and especially all of the nurses, aides, housekeeping, and others who showed our mother kindness and compassion at the Rainey Hospice House. In honor of her wishes, no funeral services are planned.
