Dorothy "Dot" B. Simpson, 88 of Iva, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 8, 1930 in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Fred Burdette, Sr. and Blanche Craft Burdette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Erskine Simpson; five brothers and son-in-law, Skeeter Lollis. She is survived by her son, Glenn Simpson (Marsha); daughter, Sandra Lollis; brother, Jerry Burdette (Sherry); sister, Patsy Whiten (George); four grandchildren, Christie Crawford (Tony Glenn), Heather Greenway (Puma Nivarro), Erica Parker (Adam) and Stacey Lollis; also survived by six great-grandchildren, Madison, Kinleigh, Khloe, Natali, Ashlyn and Kyndal. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday at Poplar Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Mrs. Simpson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Poplar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
