DOROTHY LOUISE ELROD ANDERSON, SC Dorothy Louise Elrod, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013, at her residence. Born in Anderson, SC, on June 4, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Olin Marvin Scott and the late Emma Compton Scott. She retired from Wellington Mill after many years of service. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Elrod Day and son-in-law, Bill Day, of Anderson; and two brothers, Haskell E. Scott, of Greenville, SC and Dr. Gareth D. Scott of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Sonya King, Tonya Dowis, Adrienne Allen, and Montana Day; and six great-grandchildren, Lilli Dowis, Reine Wood, Sage Dowis, Juliana Allen, James King and Kyla King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Tilman Elrod; brothers, Raymond Scott and Hershel Scott; and a sister, Glenna Scott McCurley. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Reverend Harry Warren, Reverend J. Floyd Stansell, Jr. and Reverend Ray Thompson. The family will be at their respective homes.
