McDuffie Street Ext., wife of the late Marshall Harris Elrod, died Dec. 21, 2009 at Willow Creek Nursing Center.Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Burgess Thomas Allen and Rosa Lee Gaines Allen. She was a homemaker and a wallpaper hanger and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness South Congregation. Survivors include her daughters, Carole Barnes and Patricia Loftis of Anderson; sisters, Madolyn Wood and Betty Freeman of Starr; and many other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
