Dorothy Hatcher Johnson, age 91, passed away at the Rainey Hospice House on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born in Selma, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Benjamin Hatcher and the late Serena Phillips Hatcher. She was a graduate of Selma High School and was the former church secretary at St. Clements and St. Andrews Episcopal Churches, both in Tampa Florida. She was also a former real estate agent. Dorothy was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Anderson, SC. She is survived by her children, Richard Alan Johnson, Kenneth Wayne Johnson, Calvin Fredrick Johnson and, Kathleen Johnson Hodges; two sisters, Nancy Carter and Frances Sullivan; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Edward Johnson; a brother, Jesse Willard Hatcher and a sister, Gladys Nunnery. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at St. George's Episcopal Church with Reverend Tom Davis officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service.
