Dorothy Mae Moore, age 92, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born February 3,1934 in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Hodges Sears and Lucy Sears. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thomas Moore; her brothers, Jesse Jr, Sam, and Ernest Sears; sisters, Louise Brock and Mildred Farmer; and grandchild, Jennifer Ambrose.

Dorothy dedicated many years to LaFrance Industries, where she worked as an inspector. She was a devoted and the oldest member of Faith Fellowship and a proud member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #113 in Pendleton, SC.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Cornwell (Tommy) of Anderson, SC and Cathy Powell (Danny) of Anderson, SC; son, Reggie Moore (Tammy) of Sandy Springs, SC; sisters, Caroline Jamieson of Pendleton, SC and Hazel Brodie of Seneca, SC; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 12:30 pm at Faith Fellowship Church in Pendleton, SC, with a service to follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Garrett Fricks officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC. The family will be at the home of her sister, Caroline Jamieson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Fellowship Church in Pendleton, SC.
