Dorothy Dale Leverette Phillips, 77, of Anderson , SC, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born February 5, 1943 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Henry Mercer Leverette and Dorothy Reeves Leverette. Dorothy was a graduate of Girls High. She loved to travel and loved her pets. She is survived by her husband, James H. Phillips, III; son, William Evans Phillips (Carole); grandchildren, Carole Cochran Phillips and William Evans Phillips, Jr. all of Anderson, SC; and sister, Diane Duvall of Leesville, SC. A private graveside service for the family will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Marshall A. Fant officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS, 1320 US-29, Anderson, SC 29626. The family will be at their respective homes.
