Dorothy Faye Gray Roberts, age 85, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to Delano Smiley Roberts for 69 years, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House. Born December 15, 1937, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Gray and Lois Rice Gray. Dorothy worked as a switchboard operator at Clemson University, retiring after 25 faithful years of service. She was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church. In addition to her devoted husband, she is survived by her son, Robin Eugene Roberts; daughters, Cheryl Gray Roberts, and Laurie Roberts Bowie (Phil); four grandchildren, Amy Abercrombie Seay, Andy Holliday, Justin Abercrombie, and Grayson Anne Bowie; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; and one brother. A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
