Dorothy "Dot" Yeargin, age 78, formerly of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Agape Senior Center. Born in Lavonia, GA, granddaughter of the late Pete and Eula Fleming and the daughter of the late Bill Cartee and the late Lillie Mae Fleming Cartee Dawkins. She worked at the YMCA Childcare Center. She was a member of McDuffie Street Church of God. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Noble, of Summerville, SC; three brothers, Dean, George and W. Ronnie Cartee, all of Anderson, SC; three sisters, Beverly Waters and Thelma Rudd, both of Aiken, SC and Diane Calhoun, of Anderson, SC; and one grandson, Joshua A. Noble, of Tampa, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Samuel J. Simpson; her second husband, Jesse Willis Yeargin; and her son, Willie Jay Simpson. The Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Major Michael Waters officiating. The family will be at their respective homes.
