Dorothy "Dot" Daniel Spake, age 88, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at North Pointe Assisted Living in Anderson. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Eula Smith Daniel. She was a graduate of Girl's High. Dot faithfully served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a Charter member of West Anderson Church of God. She is survived by her son, Mike Spake and his wife Patty; a brother, Reverend John Daniel and his wife Joanna of Anderson, SC; one granddaughter, Alyson Burriss and her husband Jonathan; one great-granddaughter, Alyson Bradlee Spake; one nephew and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Marvin D. Spake; a grandson, Michael Shane Spake; a brother, David Daniel; and a niece, Marcia Daniel. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend John Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Tuesday, prior to the service, from noon until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
