Dorothy F. "Dot" Wentzky, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at NHC of Anderson. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rev. R. Fred Fowler, Sr. and the late Reba Allison Fowler. She was a 1951 Girls High graduate. She was a PBX operator at Anderson Answering Service and was president of the PBX Club. She also worked at AnMed Health Dietary Department, Wells Fargo and did secretarial work at Pleasantview Baptist Church. Dot was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and traveling to concerts. She is survived by her loving husband, Lorton Wentzky; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn S. Wentzky; a sister, Earline Fowler Simpson, of Anderson; a brother-in-law, Frank Wentzky and his wife Joyce, of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Dorothy C. Fowler, of Anderson, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steven M. Wentzky, who passed away in February, 2006; a sister, Mary Ruth Payne; and a brother, R. Fred Fowler, Jr. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Dickson, Reverend Stewart Fowler and Reverend Glenn Taylor officiating. The family will be at the home of her sister, Earline, at 1303 Belhaven Road, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 3518 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC 29626, or to Riverside Baptist Church, 504 S.
