Douglas Huron Chasteen, age 71, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born August 21, 1953, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of Maggie Elizabeth Morrow Chasteen and the late Harold Chasteen. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Lee Chasteen.

Doug was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School and was formerly a machinist and designer working with Bosch and Ampak. He was also a property manager with his family's rental business. He was a car enthusiast, avid Clemson fan, and enjoyed playing the guitar and growing succulent plants. His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Dennis Chasteen (Nancy); nephew Denny Chasteen; niece, Nicki Chasteen Dickson (Billy) and their children, Cassie and Eli.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:30-2:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Vaughn officiating.
