Douglas “Doug” Hardy, 80, of Westminster, SC, passed away peacefully at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 6, 2026. He has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Douglas was born in Anderson, SC, to Daphne Hedden Hardy and William Harold Hardy on August 17, 1946. He was a 1965 Graduate of T.L. Hanna High School.

Douglas was a well-known business owner in Walhalla, SC, and longtime employee of both Allied Signal, and Bosch of Anderson County. He was a charter member of High Praises Church in Anderson, SC.

Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers William Harold Hardy Jr., and Jerry Micheal Hardy.

Doug is survived by his high school sweetheart and love of his life Sylvia Elliott Hardy, four sons, Scott (Andrea) of Nashville, TN, Kevin (Angela) of Columbia, SC, Clay of Boulder, CO, Nathan (Shelly) of Seneca, SC, and step-son Jordan Amberston (Kate) of Glenn Allen, VA., eight grandchildren: Marcus, Caroline, Gabriel, Madelyn, Mallory, Ryan, Will and Sophia.

The family will host a service on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 3:00 pm officiated by Pastor Chris Sustar at High Praises Church.
