Douglas Lee Wilson, age 62, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born April 8, 1963, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Lathan Lee Wilson and Wanda Blume Wilson.

Doug worked at Bosch for 23 years and retired from Tri-County Technical College after 8 years. He was a devout Christian and spent most of his time studying the Bible and witnessing to others. He made it his mission to lead people to the Lord and wanted all the glory to be given to God. His favorite hobby was leading men to the Lord using real life examples, especially building t-buckets and restoring Jeeps. He was a faithful member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Cindy McKee Wilson; sister, Becky Ann Porter (Brian); and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved pet Ruger.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm in the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
