BELTON, SC DOYLE 'D.C.' BRYSON February 16, 1925 - April 2, 2012 Doyle 'D.C. ' Bryson, age 87 of 3903 Old Williamston Road, Belton, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Pickens County, SC, he was the son of the late L.C. Bryson and the late Ola Moore Bryson. Mr. Bryson has had a lengthy and productive professional life extending over many years. He was a home builder, contractor, founder of the Anderson Jockey Lot, and real estate developer.He was a member of the Brandon Lodge and the Hejaz Shriner's Temple in Greenville. D.C. served his country proudly during World War II in the US Navy on board the USS Hornet, CV ' 12.Survivors include his beloved wife of 66 years, Evelyn C. Bryson of the residence; a son, Alton Bryson of Anderson, and grandchildren, Aaron, Ross, and Logan Bryson and Devin Reed. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryson was preceded in death by a son, David M. Bryson; grandson, Shawn Michael Bryson, and sisters Bernice Sisk, Eva Tucker and Lois Billingsley.A graveside service with full Masonic Rites honoring the life of D.C. Bryson will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012, 4pm at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Carol Caldwell officiating. The Hejaz Shriners will serve as honorary escort. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 4, from 2 PM until 3:30 PM.Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Bryson may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W.
