Dr. Walter C. Hudson, II age 75, husband of Jewell Collier Hudson of 2609 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC, died Monday, September 04, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Central, SC on January 25, 1931, Dr. Hudson was a son of the late Walter C. Hudson and Della Frady Hudson. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Toccoa Falls College and received his master's degree from the Erskine Seminary. He was a Baptist minister, retiring from Salem Baptist Church as pastor. He also served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Jewell Collier Hudson of the home; daughter, Diann Hudson Canapa of Lanesville, IN; son Raymond D. Hudson, Sr., of Anderson, SC; brothers, Ernest Hudson, Eddie Hudson and Rev. Albert Hudson, all of Toccoa, GA and Paul L. Hudson of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Jessie Hudson Frady of Clarkesville, GA, Trudy Hudson Hallford and Dorothy Hudson Anderson, both of Toccoa, GA. Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Walter Thomas Hudson; a brother, Calvin Hudson and a sister, Olivia Hudson Patterson. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church with the Reverends Charles Holland, Harold Parker, Glenn Taylor and Albert Hudson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
