Dr. Carol Karnes, age 71, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at The Garden House of Anderson. Born November 30, 1949, in Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Omelenchuk and Dorothy Margaret DeMeyer Omelenchuk. She was the widow of Larry Richard Karnes. Carol retired as the Dean of Business at Anderson University. She lived a life of service to others and was a volunteer at AIM and the Haven of Rest. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher. She is survived by her children, James Anthony Karnes (Carolina) and Sherry Wagner (Kenneth); and grandchildren, Landon and Lacea Karnes, and Jase Wagner.
