Adams and Edith Philyaw Adams. He was retired from Fluor Daniel Construction Company as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. He was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Adams was of the Christian Faith.Survivors include his wife, Louise Cobb Adams of the home; sons, Ben Adams and his wife, Donna of Tarpon Springs, FL and Mike Cobb of Anderson, SC; daughters, Alice Adams of Dunwoody, GA, Lee O'Neal and her husband, David of Old Fort, NC and Joyce Hays and her husband, Jerry of Anderson, SC; a sister, Linda Estes of Honea Path, SC; five grandchildren, Ellen O'Neal, Caroline O'Neal, Thomas Hays, Stephen Hays and Jamie Cobb and three great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Hays, Asheton Hays and Lauryn Hays.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ellen Craft Adams; a brother, Robert 'Bob' Adams and three sisters, Martha Culberson, Dorothy Goolsby and Arlene Sheriff.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by his cousin, the Reverend Robert E. Philyaw.
