April 29,1926 - June 17, 2006 ANDERSON, SCMr. Edward Cheffer White, Jr., age 80, husband of Bobbi Jean White of 311 Dogwood Street, died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Anderson, SC on April 29, 1926, Mr. White was a son of the late Dr. E. C. White, Sr. and Mamie Cathey White. He was retired from the Concrete Business and was a Pool Builder. He served in the United States Army and Marines and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Bobbi Jean White of the home; a son, Dennis Edward White of Gainesville, GA; a brother, Furman White of Anderson, SC and sisters, Tommie Jean Morrison of Belton, SC and Joan Grady of Burlington, NC. Two grandchildren, Lisa Jones and Robin White and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Edward Jones and Emile Elise Jones also survive.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Felton, George and Milton White and three sisters, Ruth Cleveland, Florence Martin and Mable Callaham. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Larry Pearson and Rev. Gordon Taylor.Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 19, 2006 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.The family will be at the residence.
