Earl Eugene Miller, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, April 03, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Miller was born in Gadsden, AL, where he graduated high school. He also lived in Huntsville, AL for several years. He was the son of the late Virgil Miller and the late Inna Griffin Miller. For 59 years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Ruby Fant Miller, of the home. Mr. Miller served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from True Temper and worked for seventeen years, after retirement, at White Jones Hardware. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where he was a deacon and served in many other capacities of the church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul David Miller; and a sister, Earline Dillard. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Taylor officiating. The Men's Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Flowers will be accepted.
