Earl L. Taylor, age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. Born October 4, 1933, in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Clyde Walter Taylor and Nettie Louise White Taylor. Earl was a veteran of the United States Army and was the owner of Taylor's Used Cars. He is survived by his son, Randy Taylor (Donna); daughter, Sheryl Coggins (Mike); first wife, Martha Jean Barton Taylor; grandchildren, Leigh Hines (Reggie), Brock Taylor (Tracy), Scott Brabham (Claudia), Chris Brabham (Michelle), and Lori Powell (Wayne); 14 great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Num Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Doris Jean Fortner Taylor; brothers, Bruce F. Taylor and Clyde Taylor, Jr.; and sister, Earlene Padgett. The funeral service will be held Monday, January 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm at High Praises Church with Rev. Chris Sustar and Rev. Scott Taylor officiating. Mr. Taylor will be place in the church at noon and will lie in state from noon to 1:45 pm. The committal service with military honors will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
