Carlton Edwin "Ed" Wiles, 74, of Williamston, SC, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1946 in Abbeville, SC, he was a son of the late Burris Edward Wiles and Sara Giles Wiles. Ed was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member of First Creek Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Treasurer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joy Nelson Wiles; children, Kelly LuRhonda Wiles Cox (Faron) of Simpsonville, SC, Kevin Edwin Wiles of Washburn, TN and Amber LeAnn Wiles Chapman (Joseph) of Central, SC; grandchildren, Lauren Jackson, Ashton Holmes, Savannah Nabors, Teagan Wiles, Ryker Chapman and Slade Chapman; and great-grandchildren, Freddie Waters, Kaden LeMaster, Blaine LeMaster and Emelia Nabors.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Burris Alvin Wiles; and sisters, Lounell Wiles and Irene Callahan.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at First Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Murdock officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30am-1:00pm at First Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center prior to the service. Burial will be in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing will be observed.
Flowers will be accepted and memorial donations may be made to First Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1216 Keone Circle, Williamston, SC 29697.
