Mitchell and Lillis Moss Mitchell. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII stationed in Germany as a sharpshooter. He retired as the owner of Mitchell's Auto Service in Starr, SC. He was a Mason, active in Hiram Lodge, an avid gardener, pecan cracker, and enjoyed life always keeping busy by helping others. He was a faithful member of Starr Baptist Church.He is predeceased by his parents and children, Gloria June Hart, Teddy Wayne Mitchell, Bryson Mitchell, and Patricia Adamson.Edd is survived by his wife of 65 years; son, Aubrey Mitchell, of Commerce, GA; daughter, Shirley O'Neal Stanley of Anderson; a brother, Darrell Mitchell of Starr; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Jerry Durham and Jerry Gray. Burial will follow in the Iva City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Starr Baptist Church, P.
