The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY w/ flagEDDIE YARBROUGH.November 25, 1946 - February 12, 2011Townville, SC ' William Edward Yarbrough, Jr., age 64, of 122 Forest Drive, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC to the late William Edward Yarbrough, Sr. and Blondia Freeman Yarbrough, Mr. Yarbrough graduated from T.L. Hanna High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Yarbrough was a fireman with the Anderson City Fire Department for over 36 years, where he was a Battalion Chief. He was a Baptist.Survivors include two daughters, Kristy Cheek of Anderson, SC and her companion Ben Anderson of Greenville, SC, and Cherry Charping and her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Chase Campbell and Chandler Charping and their soon to be daughter, Abigail-Claire, all of Belton, SC. Mr. Yarbrough is also survived by a brother, Curtis Yarbrough of Williamston, SC; a sister, Billie Sue Whitfield of Anderson, SC; a special companion, Nancy Maroney; and the mother of his children, Janis Yarbrough.In addition to his parents, Mr. Yarbrough was predeceased by two sisters, June Farmer and Mary Lou Moore.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Kristy Cheek, 228 Polaris Street, Anderson, SC 29621 and will receive friends following the service.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, 950 W.
