Eddy O'Neal Partain, age 80, of Starr, SC, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at his home.

Born April 9, 1944, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Robert Haskell Partain and Sara Sutherland Partain. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Angie Stowe and Paula Partain.

Eddy was a millwright and formerly worked for Daniel Construction Co. He enjoyed working on and painting cars in his shop. He attended Upstate Church (formerly Orrville Baptist Church) and served with his wife as custodians for 16 years. He was affectionately known as the "Tootsie Roll Man." Eddy was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Beverly Cherie Partain; son, Lance Eddy Partain (Crystal); daughters, Tracy C. Starnes (Doc) and Terri M. Ramsey (Jake); brother, Wayne Partain; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Interim Hospice and Eddy's nurses Elizabeth, Will, and Katey for the wonderful care provided.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 1:30-2:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Larry Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
