Edgar was raised in Vermont where he farmed the family farm, then moved to Honea Path in 1982. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was formerly employed with Kemet, working until 2002. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid musician playing fiddle with The Pastyme Band in nursing homes and churches.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Monique Chicoine Preseau; mother, Cecile Cousineau Preseau of Sudbury, VT; sons, Evan Preseau and his wife, Eileen of Keystone Heights, FL and Alan Preseau of Anderson; brothers, Ronnie, Peter and Rene Preseau; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a son, Mark Rolland Preseau.A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 10:00 am, officiated by Father Paul Williams, OFM. The interment of his ashes will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will be at the residence. A Prayer Vigil will begin at 6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, November 4, 2011, with the family receiving friends until 9:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
