EDITH L. BURNS
Edith Lucille Burns was accepted into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on May 27, 2015. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family, reminiscing about the past and reliving funny and loving memories.
Edith was born November 10, 1938, in Great Falls, Montana to the late Edward F. & Helen Marie Anderson. She was the youngest of four children who preceded her in death, Alice Hensley, Edward "Bud" Anderson, and Roy Anderson.
Edith was married on May 4, 1958 in Polson, Montana to William Edward Burns. They just celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage.
After raising three children, Edith returned to New River Community college and obtained her Associates Degree in accounting and later retired from AmSouth Bank in 1997.
In addition to her devoted husband, Bill, Mrs. Burns is survived by a son, William Karl Burns and his wife, Laura, of New Port Richey, FL; two daughters, F. Arlene Eaglen and her husband, Charles, of Greer, SC, and L. Ellen Walter and her husband, Gerald, of Reidville, SC; five grandchildren, William Andrew, Cathryn Lindsey, Christina Elizabeth Burns, Blake Anderson and Ella Grace Walter; and one great-grandchild, Jayden Alexander Burns. Edith is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews; great- nieces and great- nephews in the beautiful state of Montana.
The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Edith L. Burns will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Steve Silvey officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville. The family will be at the residence, 319 Timms Mill Road, Williamston, SC, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
