Fields, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at NHC Health Care of Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on January 12, 1927, Mrs. Fields was a daughter of the late James Theo Keel and Hazel Knight Keel. She was a phlebotomist at Anderson Area Medical Center for 14 years and was a homemaker. In 1982, she was instrumental in organizing the Parents Club, to help children with disabilities and she also served as an advocate of these children. She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of the home; brother, Ronald Keel and his wife, Joyce of Greenville, SC; sister, Juanita Brown of Atlanta; a special nephew, Charlie Brown and his wife, Shirley of Iva, SC.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William Keel and a sister, Pam Keel.The Funeral Service will held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Wendell Bannister. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm.Flowers are optional.
