Rodney West, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.Born in Travelers Rest, SC, on December 14, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Leon Childers and Alice League Childers. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a retired Educator, having taught at Lakeside Middle School. Mrs. West was a charter member of Boulevard Baptist Church.Survivors include her sons: Michael R. West and wife, Anna Jo West of Spartanburg, SC, and Donald L. West and wife, Melinda G. West of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren: Jonathan West, Matthew West and wife, Sara Margaret West, Patrick West, Austin West, Chase West, and Nickolas West.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Carlee Alexis West.The Funeral Service will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Elwood Orr. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
