Edna Stasney Burton, age 84, of Abbeville, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born November 11, 1938, in Iva, SC, she was a daughter of the late Paul Stasney and Annie Mae Leopard Stasney. She was also preceded in death by sister, Joyce A. Stasney; and brother, Henry Stasney.

Edna married the love of her life, Howard, on April 7, 1954, and they enjoyed 67 wonderful years together. She loved her family dearly and considered it a joy to care for them. Edna was a faithful employee of Sears for 30 years until she retired. She was a member of Middleton Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Sherman Burton; children, Jeffrey Paul Burton (Pam), and Pamela Burton Craft (David); sister, Lillie S. McDonald; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
