NEZ HIOTT November 24, 1927 - August 28, 2005ANDERSON, SCEdna Inez Martin Hiott, age 77, of 208 Poplar Lane Anderson, SC, wife of the late George Drayton Hiott, Jr., died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Townville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Grady Woodford Martin and Iola Little Martin. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Anderson Health Care. She attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple and was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include sons, Jerry Wayne Hiott of Hartwell, GA, Ronnie Lee Hiott and Danny Albert Hiott, both of the home; daughters, Shirley Ann Bryant of Greenville, SC, Barbara D. Watt of Anderson, SC, Brenda H. Davis of Belton, SC, Ruby Darlene May of Dickson, TN, Pamela Gail Hiott of Yakima, WA, Cathey E. Owens of Anderson, SC, Janice H. Compton of Iva, SC and Jeannette H. Moore of Anderson, SC and a sister, Joyce Nash of Anderson, SC; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Derrill Drayton Hiott; two grandsons, Andrew Compton and Michael Ray Harris; three brothers, Sidney Lee Robertson, Doyle Woodford Martin and Dennis Virgil Martin and a sister, Ruby Nell Gambrell. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dr. Ron Fousek and Rev. Clarence Howard. Interment will follow in Whitefield Baptist Church Cemetery in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be at the home of a daughter, Jeannette H. Moore, 3550 Keys Street, Anderson, SC and at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
